About Viveve®

Viveve® is a treatment for vaginal laxity that can rejuvenate the vagina after menopause, pregnancy or other life changes. Viveve uses radiofrequency waves to tighten the vaginal canal without surgery or downtime.

Best Candidates for Viveve

The best candidates for Viveve treatments are women in good general health who feel that they have lost some vaginal tightness. Candidates may have developed vaginal laxity after giving birth or going through menopause, or may struggle with stress incontinence or a lack of sexual pleasure.

Women who have pacemakers or defibrillators are not good candidates for Viveve treatments.

What To Expect?

Viveve treatments use cryogen-cooled monopolar radiofrequency waves to strengthen and rejuvenate the vaginal muscles and tissue while keeping the surface cool and unharmed. During your Viveve treatment, a handheld device will be used to apply volumetric heating directly to the vaginal canal, stimulating healing and new tissue growth.

Viveve treatments do not require anesthesia and most women report feeling comfortable throughout the procedure. You may feel a slight warming sensation during the treatment itself.

Recovery & Results

Viveve is a nonsurgical procedure that doesn’t require any downtime. You may return to your normal routine immediately following your appointment, and you can resume intercourse after 24 hours.

Your results should develop over the following weeks and months. At 90 days post-treatment, Pam Snoop, FNP will evaluate your results and help you decide whether an enhancement treatment would be best for meeting your needs.

Viveve FAQ

How does Viveve work?

Viveve treatments work by stimulating your body’s natural healing processes using radiofrequency waves. This controlled heating promotes the production of important proteins and new cells within the skin, muscles and tissue, strengthening the vaginal canal.

How long after giving birth should I wait to get Viveve treatments?

After giving birth, you should wait for at least 6 months before having any vaginal rejuvenation treatments. This will give your body a chance to return to normal hormone levels. You may also find that some laxity resolves on its own once your body has enough time to recover from giving birth.

How many Viveve treatments should I get?

Typically, Viveve is a one-time treatment. However, some women may only be able to achieve their desired results after two treatments spaced about 3 months apart. You also may wish to get touch-up treatments once every year or two to maintain your results.

How long does a Viveve treatment take?

Viveve treatments are relatively quick and should only take about 30 to 45 minutes.
